Colored   duck and balloons with my copic markers - used some more of the cute spring papers from Doodle Bug and made a little different fold.

March 29, 2016 Beautiful Ride

This card is so totally out of my comfort zone - BUT I watch the short videos by Unity Stamps and think "I could do that" - but then when I do it it just never seems I think I do like how this one turned out - using just a wash around the image - with watercolors.  Well as you can see the basket has some little pretty flowers - to cover up a couple of OOPS - but I do like how it turned out.  I think this card says "young" and my 14 year old granddaughter seems to need some extra encouragement from time to time I am going to save this one for her.

March 27,2016 Blessed Easter

Is there a picture that brings thoughts of Easter more than the crosses, I used the sun from a SU set and I wish I knew who the crosses on the hill top was made by - because this is truly what Easter is about.,rejoice as he arose.

March 26, 2016 Easter Greetings

Just had to make a couple more Easter cards using my Memory Box Easter die (that I won) - this die really can stand alone but added some flowers and the card was complete - plus a bit of ling in the center of the flowers.  As Easter Sunday approaches let us remember the true reason for this blessed day.                CHALLENGES

March 25, 2016 Pocket Card

I have been wanting to make a pocket letter/card for a long time but have always "feared" tackling the job but once you start the ideas just flow.  This was for a birthday that our sweet owner of Repeat Impressions owns (I am on the DT).  She LOVES cats so I went with a cat theme.  Wish there was a better way to have photographed this - as the plastic sleeves really cast some glare.  But you get the idea.  You make 8 trading cards and put them in the sleeves of a trading card sheet then on the other side you put embellishments in each pocket.  Well being a cat owner myself the ideas were endless.  I put a small zipper bag of kitty treats, some kitty buttons, Miss Kitty stickers, a sheet of kitty paw prints, a couple of "KIT-KAT" bars (get it), a kitty bookmark, ok you get the picture.  Then you write a letter to put in one of the pockets and fold it to fit.  Now that my MoJo is going I have to make a couple more of these fun projects for my daughter, chemo buddies, friend.   PS thank you Patti for helping me with my punch art kitty and for letting me stamp a couple of images I didn't have.  It was a fun day of crafting at a friends house.

March 23, 2016 Follow Sketch

GOOD MORNING

t

Today is sketch challenge over at THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT and this was such a fun sketch to work with this week.  I knew I wanted to use my CUTE Easter duck 705-G from
REPEAT IMPRESSIONS  and the sentiment Happy Spring 1301-F on my spring card.  I had a partial pad of Easter/Spring papers from Doodlebug that went perfect with this image.

I colored the duck up with my copic markers, and added a bit of glitter with my spica glitter pen on the bow and hat band.  This card is already out the door to sweet great grandkids.

Hoping you join us using the sketch and enter our challenge over at The House that Stamps Built.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps BUT if you do you will get an added bonus of an additional entry in the random drawing for a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate.  If you go check out my side bar you will see a 10% discount on Repeat Impressions stamps.  Would love to have you join us.

Now why not check out why my teams mates have made using this sketch.

March 20, 2016 Happy Easter 1

Isn't this a fun simple Easter card - you see I WON - the Happy Easter dye made by Memory Box by leaving a comment on PAM SPARKS  blog Expressions with Heart.  PAM does the most amazing things with dies, so much talent.  You really need to go check her out.  This die although intricate cut very easily and I had just gotten the cutesy bunnies at a cute little shop in Kirkwood MO> called
The Checkered Cottage.  Such a fun shop - lots of "stuff" in every nook and cranny plus fun unique gifties.  I made another card again using the Happy Easter Die and the bunny rabbits

which is bit more simple but I like how they both turned out.  These are going to two of my chemo buddies along with a little package of goodies for Easter.              Challenges:
     AMuse Studio - Easter
Dragonfly Journey - use a bunny rabbit
     AAA Cards- Easter
Dragonfly Dreams - use a die cut

March 19, 2016 The Sky is the Limit

I have a sweet friend that stamped me up a few of these images from SU newest release.  There are so many times I need a masculine card for a chemo patient and I thought this one would be a great inspiration.  She stamped a couple on vellum for me (vellum is IN) and I fussy cut around the airplane and then oval cut the sentiment.  I had gotten a great package of new designer papers in blacks/gray hues and this worked perfect for what I wanted  A strip of black broke up the two patterns on the card.  This card is addressed and ready to go out the door tomorrow.

March 16, 2016 Photo Inspiration

GOOD MORNING

This is our photo inspiration for March, do you see spring, Easter, cute kitty, or all of the above?  Well I saw cute kitty, spring, and Easter.  Here is what I saw:

This is what I saw, a  cat,  Repeat Impressions 8201-P Home without Cats, sitting in a lush garden of beautiful flowers in yellow, purple, and  blue/violets.  Colored with my copic markers.  I needed some green to tie this alltogether so looked through my "stash" of DP and found this Easter paper
which worked very well.  I made this into an easel card using some brads of flowers and a blue butterfly to hold the easel card up for display.
Hoping you will create a card using our photo inspiration to enter our challenge over at
The House that Stamps Built.  You don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will get an added bonus of an additional entry in the random drawing for a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate. HINT - take a peek over on my side bar and you will see a 10% discount onRepeat Impressions staps.  We would love to see you create something.
Now why not go check outmy DT team mates and see what they have created.

March 13, 2016 Miracles

I recently took advantage of some stamps on sale at Unity Stamps plus every day they have QUICK one minute (sometimes a minute and a half) videos that I love to watch and usually ssay to self I am going to dry this.  Well this time I did and I think I like the result.  Watercolor washes are in but when I do it I always think I need something more.  So I did add some more interest with some flowers, DP which I scalloped and added some purple pearls.  Then they aso did a video on how to "step-up" your photo shoots so I added some props for this one.  Anyway fun card to make and fun to photograph.

March 9, 2016 DCC at The House

GOOD MORNING

Today is Designer choice over at The house at Stamps Built - and the theme for this designer Patti was MORE THAN ONE FOLD.  My card features 2 folds and I have used it often.

CLOSED

OPEN

I was in need an "encouragement" card for a teen male and I thought this worked out very well to give him some words of cheer and encouragement.  For this card I used an image and the sentiment from BIG BOYS TOYS 9112-I Airplane and the sentiment is 9101-G.  I had the designer paper for a while and when I saw the clouds and the airplanes I knew what I was going to do.  A red star brad, some strip red ribbon and some tiny red punched hearts made this card complete.  I will write my note on the back of the card.
So - hoping you will create a card using the theme of More Than 1 fold and enter it in our challenge over at The House that Stamps Built.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will get an added bonus of an additional entry in the random drawing for a $25 REPEAT IMPRESSION gift certificate.  PS if you check over on my side bar you will see a 10% discount on Repeat Impressions Stamps.    Would love to see what you create.

March 5, 2016 Dropping you a line

Can you tell I have been playing with my Brusho powders AGAIN every time I use these fun powders I get more ideas.  You can never make two alike - (because most of the time Brusho's have a mind of their own.).  I thought this one was perfect for this silhouette stamp from Flourishes  Kids Play.  I am really appreciating the silhouette images especially when using the Brushos.  This one is out the door already to a gentleman who was facing some difficult chemo challenges.

March 2, 2016 Color Challenge

GOOD MORNING

Here it is March already - and that means we will start to see the first beginnings of spring.  March is full of fun challenges, St. Patricks Day, Easter, and weekly challenges. This weekly challenge at
THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT  is a color challenge using these colors.

What a pretty color combination to use together and I love just about any color on Kraft - it is so versatile.  For my card this week I used Rose Window 917-I from the Flowers collection.  I used a technique I saw on line - distress ink lifting (which I will do a short tutorial on this technique later.)

I get a lot of requests as a special requests chemo angel to send one time cards to cheer people up who are facing some difficult challenges.  They give us a bit of a bio including their favorite flower, and a lot of people love roses.  Therefore I choose this beautiful rose window and the die cut sentiment to make my card.
Come join us at The House that Stamps Built challenge this week ( you don't have to use Repeat Stamps but if you do your name will be entered twice)  enter your creation and have a chance to win a nice gift certificate for some amazing stamps.
Now why not see what my team maties have created this week:

March 1, 2016 House of Cards Silhouette Challenge

GOOD MORNING

This month over at HOUSE OF CARDS   blog the challenge is to use a silhouette image or die cut in your card.  For my card this month I choose Butterfly Kisses

my I used

and my Brusho crystal colors that a BFF got me for Christmas.  I have had so much fun combining colors, and techniques using these amazing colored crystals.  Yes a few ended up in the trash can!!!  For this one I used heavyweight white matte cardstock - and the turquoise and yellow crystals and spritzed with a fine mist spritzer.  I thought it looked like this little girl was actually blowing the dandelion and the fuzzies were flying in the air.  Since the sentiment I used said Butterfly Kisses I punched out a tiny butterfly for a little extra eye candy.  I used my scallop punch on the side to layer the focal layer and used some enamel dots on the side.  Hope you enjoy and have fun creating your own silhouette card.   Come join us at House of Cards for this months challenge using a silhouette.
