September 27, 2017 - Anything Goes

Over at The House that Stamps Built this week is my FAVORITE challenge - Anything Goes.  And here is my card

I'm really liking this card - I used a SU cat punch - and sat him on a window sill from Sizzix that I have had for a long time  I put vellum behind the window and stamped The Spider Web  and the Bats - 2305E, Bats - 2308E Pumpkin -2310G and Pumpkin face 2325C all found HERE.   This was so much fun to put together - perfect for Halloween - then I used Happy Halloween Sentiment 2303G found HERE.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of ANYTHING GOES - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.
You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice in the drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
If you look on my right side bar I also have a discount coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.

September 20, 2017 - Inspiration Challenge

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is the Inspiration Challenge, beautiful fall colors - and leaves.  I used Repeat Impressions
Falling Leaves 3306I found here .  I used a strip of ivory cardstock and using distress oxide inks to color - I then embossed my image in gold and did some splatters in gray.  For my sentiment I used Just a Note 1112E found here.  Some back twine and the card is complete.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of Photo Inspiration/colors- as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.

September 13, 2017 Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is to play with the Tic-Tac-Toe below - this is one of my favorite challenges.

I choose to do the Wildlife, Monochromatic, and Charms.

If you will note I used a paint chip sample that I had picked up when we were remodeling our master bath - (we went with a gray).  I thought it would work perfect for this image/challenge.  I used 4221-K Deer Family Silhouette  and die cute Hello out of the same paint chip.  I tried stamping directly on the paint chip and due to the surface the ink would not stamp well at all.  For my charm - Ihave used a "ribbon" charm.  I know think way back in your memory when these were popular, well I had a few - ok more than a few so decided to use it.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of Tic-Tac-Toe - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.

September 6,2017 DC Pick - Sympathy

This week it was my week to pick the challenge of the week - which we call designer choice challenge and I choose Sympathy.  I know this is a challenging card to makes - especially under stress when we usually need them.  I am anxious to see what my team mates made for this challenge as I need ideas.

I choose to use 2908I Shade of the Elm and 4205F Deepest Sympathy as I thought it captured a chair under a beautiful tree but no one in the chair.  I colored my cut piece with distress oxides and then splattered with some water drops.  Cut out with two Spellbinders mats and mounted this on some blue cs that I had run through the embossing folder of clouds.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of Sympathy. The possibilities are endless for this challenge so hope to see lots of entries.

September 1, 2017 House of Cards Challenge

It is already the 1st of September - where has the summer gone???  Way too fast for me.  This months challenge over at House of Cards is pictured below, I chose to go with add text to your image.

And here is my finished project for September which was "Add text".

As you can see I am way out of my comfort zone with this tag - I choose this tag because of all the text it had on it.  I then colored up a NEW stamp from Local King Rubber out of Canada.  Very unique stamps - saw this company at Collinsville IL. rubber stamp convention, and fell in love with the images and the way to color them.  I got a set of peacock stamps which included the beautiful feather, I also got the dies that go with this set.  I then used distress oxide inks to color my tag with then did some water splatters and some black paint splatters, then I went to work on embellishing some blue/green lace, lots of bling some stenciling - like I said way far away from my comfort zone.  But this seems to be popular now with the distress inks so tried my hand.

Won't you play along with out challenge this month over at the House of Cards  using either the color combo or text to your image.  Looking forward to seeing what you create.
